You know when I said I knew little about love? That wasn’t true. I know a lot about love. I’ve seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars. Pain, lies, hate…it made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind loves…you could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough
And things go wrong no matter what I do
Now and then it seems that life is just too much

Lloyd Dobler: I don’t want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don’t want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don’t want to do that.

Okay so I finally bought the Blu-Ray 10th Anniversary Edition of Fight Club. I wanted it when it first came out, but I just couldn’t justify spending $30 on it, especially when I own two copies of it already (the standard single-disc, and the special edition). But last weekend I gave in, since it was a great price at Target and I had just deposited a paycheck.
IT IS AMAZING. TRULY AMAZING. The picture is seriously incredible. The darks are beautiful, the colors are vibrant, the scenes are crisp and perfect. I had heard that David Fincher literally sat frame-by-frame with the the people converting it to Blu-Ray to get the colors absolutely perfect— and I believe it. I wish my Macbook could read Blu-Rays so I could take glorious caps and share with you all how fucking amazing it is.
